PRO TIP
The shortened brush handles are perfect for when you need to get close up to a mirror – the handle doesn’t get in the way! The option of an ‘end on’ grip also make the brushes super easy to control for precision makeup application.

I purchased the travel brush set, as sadly too many times when packing I have forgotten some or all my makeup brushes. I was not sure about the size of the travel brushes, but I absolutely love the size and love compact the travel case. It did not take me any time at all to use the new size. I also have several of the larger brushes which I love and love how my makeup looks so professional. The travel brushes are of the same high quality of the regular brushes, which I would give an A+++. So, I would say if you like the regular size brushes and need travel sizes you must buy the travel set. p.s. I cut a shop stick and taped it to the regular brush to determine if I could use the travel size. This was a perfect test, and my answer was an immediately yes, the size did not impact the application, and I have rather large hands. Best from Seattle

I’m a Japanese fude brush snob and own more than a hundred, hand-made brushes with natural hair. I used to carry a super bulky hard case when traveling to protect my brushes or don’t travel with my precious brushes at all if I don’t have room in the suitcase.
This travel case is made of metal so your brushes are protected. I also love the fact that you can individually purchase the mini brushes to build your own travel set, which is what I did. The main reason being, as others mentioned, there are way too many eye brushes and there is only one small face brush, which isn’t ideal for low maintenance people who don’t do elaborate eye makeup when traveling. I’m one of those. I just do my complexion and brows. I don’t spend hours doing my make up when I’m on vacation.
I cherry picked what’s essential for me, one of which is the #28. The handle fits the frame but the bristles will flare out so you need to be careful arranging the brushes and closing the cover.
Some people don’t seem to like the short handle but that’s the point of travel brushes. You want something smaller and shorter without sacrificing the size and length of the bristles. Plus, for people who need to be an inch away from the mirror to be able to see, a short handle is a must.
Happy with my purchase.

Most handy makeup brushes for travel even for daily use,the bristles are incredible heavenly feel on my sensitive skin. With magnet is easy to stick on any metal surface.
However sometimes had difficulties to figure out the usages for different texture products(liqid, cream, cream to powder,powder...) Especially for the cream to powder texture,#8 #8.5 seemed a bit hard to pick up.Also it will be great if the size of numbers could be bigger for ease of reading.
Overall love the concept of the design except the price.

I have a few of the full size brushes and wanted to buy more. I travel a lot, so thought I would try the travel set. I love it. I love the way the length of the brushes fits perfectly in your palm and it gives really great control for more precision. It's so lightweight and compact and the magnetic cover is genius. It's really easy to keep clean and I love that the brushes stay protected and separated when travelling. Highly recommend.

I immediately fell in love with the concept of this travel brush set. However, on arrival I felt that the brush handle size was just that little bit too short. I think an additional magnetic handle should be included, which magnetises to each brush to extend the handles.

Rae here... thank you for your feedback - the full size brushes do have long handles whereas the travel brushes are designed to be held from behind (like a child would hold a crayon) for increased stability - in the video for the Travel Set on the website I demonstrate this for you.
A handle extension for the travel brushes would not be stable and wouldn't allow you to hold them in the way they are intended to be used. The full size brushes would be a better option if this is your preference.
